Accommodation Options
We have twelve rooms, made from local natural materials with their own unique style, including self-contained double chalets with fans, a self-contained family room, two six-bed dormitories and triple and standard chalets. All are well-spaced, naturally shaded, and have their own private balcony with views of the lake. We also have a spacious and naturally shaded lakeside campsite along with space for rooftop tent vehicles. See below for details and prices of all rooms….
The Beach House
Made from and mixture of local and upcycled materials, this newly renovated bohemian chalet is a new favorite at Butterfly. The spacious private balcony has a cosy seating area and hammock which overlooks the lake. It is the perfect hideaway! This chalet is en-suite, has an spacious hot shower overlooking the beach and lake, eco friendly toilets and a fan.
(relatively close to The Cottage and Dorms, for group bookings wanting to stay a bit closer!)

The Cottage
Our most secluded, peaceful cottage, nestled into its own private forested cove with stunning sunrise and moonrise views over the lake. Enjoy your own private beach area and sit back take in the nature on your own private deck which sits over the lake. This traditionally constructed cottage is spacious, and made from local natural materials. It has a fan, solar-heated shower and a wash basin in the room. (Location: This chalet’s closest neighbor’s are the beach house and dormitories, in case you want to book a room close to friends!)

The Lakeview
A double cosy room made from local lake stone which is tucked away on the rocky cliffs. Listen to the lapping waves and enjoy stunning views and sunrises over the lake from your bed. This en-suite has a spacious hot shower, eco-friendly toilets, and fan.

The Garden House
Nestled into our lush gardens, this spacious but cosy chalet has beautiful views from its shaded balcony, overlooking our cove and private beach. With a single & double bed, it’s perfect for friends or families. It has a private bathroom with hot showers, an eco-friendly toilet, and fan.
(It is located between Garden Room and Sky Room, for larger bookings or families who may want to be close by)

The Garden Room
A cosy but spacious budget room, beautifully situated in the gardens with views of our private beach and the lake. It neighbors Garden House for larger families or friends who want to stay close together.

The Butterfly Room & Leapers Cottage
Two neighboring en-suite rooms with fans, which are light, airy and modern, with a stone terrace where you can relax and watch the birds and the monkeys pass by in the tree tops, or watch dug-out canoes pass by in the turquoise waters below. The bathrooms have flushing toilets and solar-heated showers.
Booked separately, or together for group booking, or families, these rooms will provide all the comfort you could ever need for the perfect getaway.

Sky-Room (Mini Dorm)
A spacious and cosy triple room with three single beds, perfect for friends or families who want to share. It is situated right next to the toilet and showers, has a large balcony with stunning views of the gardens towards the lake. (neighboring Garden House and Tree House chalets for group bookings who want to stay close!)

Treehouse 1 & 2
Cosy, naturally made wooden and bamboo cabins with 2 double rooms which neighbor each other. It has fantastic views of the canopy and the lake glistening through the trees below. These rooms are perfect for friends who want to stay next to each other, and for travelers on a budget.

Dormitories
We have two comfortable 6-bed dorms with lockers, which neighbor each other, with a shared handwash basin, eco friendly toilets and a hot open air shower close by, both with stunning views of the canopy and the lake. They have a spacious balcony with a seating area and overlooking our gardens and the lake. A great way to travel on a budget and meet other travellers!
Single $10 per person per night.
Lakeside Campsite
Our grassy and spacious campsite is naturally shaded by a canopy of indigenous and fruit trees, with different areas and levels to choose from to stay tucked away. We have a spacious shaded area close to the car-park for overlander trucks & roof top tents. $5 per person
Eco Friendly Facilities
- Our showers are mostly heated by solar, and some by mains power because we have many trees which we are reluctant to cut!
- Don’t forget to use our star lit, solar heated outdoor shower, which helps us to water our gardens.
- Most of our toilets are eco friendly. Remember to add a scoop of sawdust and ash after using them, and keep the seat down. This generates heat which turns your waste into healthy compost, which we use in our indigenous tree nursery, which you can visit on-site!
- We have a male AND FEMALE urinal, (close to the bar), which naturally filters the liquid through the rocks, safely into the ground where it cant cause any harm.
- Grey water from showers empties into our permaculture gardens so it can be absorbed by the thirst plants!
- Milk, crisp, sugar packets and bottles are reused for our tree nursery. Please save them!
